On Sunday’s class I did the wrong moves to a Tai Chi Form that I’m not very comfortable with. Sifu had me practice group by group but I still couldn’t get the form right. I worked on the form that whole day and didn’t feel like it was out the mind. Using the group by group method this week I will see if this form feels any better.
With Wudang 1 I can do it fast, slow , move by move and other ways and mostly without thinking about the moves. It flows easier. With the Tai Chi form I’m practicing now I noticed that I get stuck at certain parts, repeat certain moves or totally forget where I am in the form. This is because the moves are still in the mind.
I will be focusing on this form to make it more like Tai Chi by practicing different methods including breaking it up into groups.
